Executive Biography
President, Monroe Ratchford
​
Mr. Ratchford has over 30 years of expertise in process improvement, organizational performance management, strategic planning, BPR, Six Sigma, and applications of international standards (ISO). This includes experience with CACI, Institute for Quality Management, Inc., General Electric, MCI WorldCom, Nortel Networks, and the U.S. Air Force. He has worked with dozens of public and private sector clients to improve organizational performance. He has led over 200 process improvement teams. Mr. Ratchford is a four time winner, “Best Process Improvement Team in America,” the Quality Cup, from USA Today and RIT.
Mr. Ratchford graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a degree in History and served as the Wrestling Team Captain. After graduation, Monroe began a series of assignments as an aircraft maintenance officer, performing maintenance management on 9 different aircraft systems (B-52, F-4G/E, F-15, etc.) His military career included assignments in flight line maintenance, intermediate maintenance, weapon system testing, weapon system acquisition, strategic planning and quality management. His last operational assignment was as the Commander of the largest military squadron in the U.S. Air Force. He culminated his military career at the Pentagon.
Upon retirement from the Air Force, Monroe applied his love for quality principles as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt with General Electric, GE Capital. Monroe went on to apply his quality expertise as an external quality consultant for Verizon and Nortel Networks. He has led teams to higher levels of performance and cost savings with each organization. He has taught dozens of Six Sigma Green, Black, Executive, and Champion classes in DOD, private and Intelligence sectors.
Mr. Ratchford and his team served as quality consultants to Department of Justice and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to improve their operational processes and build strategies. He helped NGA become the first organization in America to achieve ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 27001 (Information Security), ISO 20000 (IT Best Practices, ITIL) certifications simultaneously.

He is a widower with a daughter Kristine, who has a degree in Criminal Justice. And, because they won’t let them forget, we have a thirteen-year-old black Lab, Elrond, named from a character in Lord of the Rings.
